Igloo Products

ICEBOX® igloo products are easy to use and more importantly well constructed. Each igloo building tool is a high quality slip form for building igloo blocks from loose snow. The slip form attaches to an aluminum pole that adjusts in length for each layer of blocks as the height of the igloo increases. Layer 2 will be a little shorter than layer one but there after the pole is extended for each layer. The pole is attached on one end to the form and on the other end is attached to a pivot stake. The pivot stake keeps the igloo construction centered on that pivot to ensure a perfect circular igloo.

General Igloo Tool Use

To use the tool, first place the stake in the center of the igloo construction area. Next, simply fill the ICEBOX® slip form by shoveling loose snow into the form and packing it as the form is filled. Once the form is filled, the slip form is released and moved over and the process is repeated.

ICEBOX® Igloo Door

Another of our Icebox Products beside our ICEBOX Igloo Tool is an advanced and thoroughly tested igloo door. When you build your igloo, you will need a good door. Igloo doors seem simple but in reality their are unique issues when installing a door. Our door has a pocket at the bottom to load snow to ensure the door does not flap around, Velcro enclosures and spikes to attach to door to the igloo.  

Igloo Door General Use and Details

The door can be hung by spikes driven into the face of the igloo and attached to the doors elastic strap loops.

Overall dimensions of the door are 26″ X 50″ although the maximum recommended opening size is 24″ X 45″. There is a vertical slit in the middle of the door to allow for quick entry and egress.
