First igloo of 09/10 winter season.

Post by Igloo Ed » Tue Nov 03, 2009 2:34 pm

We've been getting little snow storms in the mountains that have all but melted except in the shaded areas and then last week we got a great storm come through and dropped about 12 inches up in the mountains.
The new snow was to much to resist knowing how much was up there before the storm so friends and I went up a built an igloo just for the fun of it:

We built an eight footer and had a great day back in a little protected area:

Here's a thread in rmnpforum.com where I hang out all the time:

Great video, Ken. It looks like it went pretty smooth for you in the igloo build. It looked like you broke a couple blocks but solo is pretty tough for someone that is still learning. Heh, my cat won't hardly walk on snow and yours hangs out and watches you build the igloo, too cool.

A big storm rolling into/over the N.W. now, maybe it'll make it as far as you. We are supposed to get snow here in Colorado this Sunday.
