A bit of a short notice but I'll be building an igloo in Loveland tomorrow at Jax's Outdoor starting at 10:30 am.

How'd it go? Any pictures?

I was up at Mt. Elbert Power Plant on the east side of Independence Pass during the storm. They hardly got any snow out of the storm but I was thinking about building a practice igloo on Saturday. I was quite surprised at how fast the snow settled and melted.

Looking forward to building several igloos this winter!

Well, we built the one in Loveland and got word immediately as we finished up that Jax in Ft. Collins wanted us to come up and build an igloo there also.
The building went great as I had friends show up and help me build the igloos. The store in Loveland supplied us with a two wheeled cart to haul the snow from choice spots:

The snow was nice and wet and packed so easy:

A technique I've been using lately and liking to finish the top:

The Loveland Reporter Herald showed up and had this in the paper:

Then it was off to Ft. Collins where we hauled in the snow with JP's truck:

The second igloo went up in 1 1/2 hours:

More pictures on this forum where I hang out quite a bit:
